South Country. Begin your trek at the Zastrow Turnaround before hiking to Rayado River Camp for the night. On the following
morning, pack up your gear and enjoy a cool root beer at Abreu Cantina before continuing on to Carson Meadows to help the
staff with a search and rescue mission that will require your crew to work together. Enjoy the view from the Notch and the
gorgeous hike up Rayado Canyon to Waite Phillips fishing lodge at Fish Camp. Fish the banks of the Agua Fria and Rayado
Creeks before continuing on to Agua Fria Camp for the night. The following day, you will have the opportunity to help
Philmont's Conservation Department with a trail construction project on the way to the homestead at Crooked Creek. From
there, enjoy the hike down Bonito Canyon and check out the wreckage of a B24 bomber that crashed on top of Trail Peak in
1942. Continue on to Crater Lake where the Continental Tie & Lumber Company will teach you to scale spar poles before
including you in their Company Meeting Campfire. Enjoy the view of the Tooth of Time and the loggers stories. Be sure to hike
over Lovers Leap on the following morning. Next stop… Base Camp!'
