2015 description: 'This action packed itinerary will encourage your crew to work together as you explore Philmont's Central Country. Start by hiking to Vaca for the night and reload/shoot shotguns at Harlan on the following morning at a picturesque shooting range. Enjoy learning and working on a trailbuilding project with Philmont's Conservation Department on your hike to Lost Gap. Your crew will then have the opportunity to hike to Window Rock before hiking up beautiful Grouse and Sawmill Canyons on the way to Upper Sawmill. From there, enjoy incredible views of Touch Me Not and Baldy Mountain while hiking to Thunder Ridge and Cyphers Mine for the night. Once there, Charlie Cyphers and his miners will teach you how to blacksmith, mine for gold, and treat you to mining music at The Stomp! From there, enjoy the cool hike down the North Fork Cimarroncito Creek and tour Waite Phillips Hunting Lodge. Be sure to stop and check out the Demonstration Forest before branding and roping at Clarks Fork. Fill up your water bottles and hike to Ponderosa Park for the night and be sure to rest up as your final challenge awaits… the Tooth of Time!'

2014 description: 'This challenging trek will enable your crew to attain new heights and enjoy meaningful program opportunities in Philmont's South Country. Begin your trek at the Zastrow Turnaround before hiking to Rayado River Camp for the night. On the following morning, pack up your gear and enjoy a cool root beer at Abreu Cantina before continuing on to Carson Meadows to help the staff with a search and rescue mission that will require your crew to work together. Enjoy the view from the Notch and the gorgeous hike up Rayado Canyon to Waite Phillips fishing lodge at Fish Camp. Fish the banks of the Agua Fria and Rayado Creeks before continuing on to Agua Fria Camp for the night. The following day, you will have the opportunity to help Philmont's Conservation Department with a trail construction project on the way to the homestead at Crooked Creek. From there, enjoy the hike down Bonito Canyon and check out the wreckage of a B24 bomber that crashed on top of Trail Peak in 1942. Continue on to Crater Lake where the Continental Tie & Lumber Company will teach you to scale spar poles before including you in their Company Meeting Campfire. Enjoy the view of the Tooth of Time and the loggers stories. Be sure to hike over Lovers Leap on the following morning. Next stop… Base Camp!'
